Disclosure Day, Steven Spielberg’s latest sci-fi thriller, concludes with an alien delivering a mysterious message that the film intentionally withholds from viewers.

“I said, ‘I’ll make you a deal. I’ll give you permission to use the five notes if you let me direct a Bond film.’ And he said no. But I gave him the five notes anyway,” Spielberg recounted.

“The movie takes the position of the believers, or the curious, the ones that have been deeply affected by this,” Spielberg said in an interview with CBS News.
